FOUNDER

Katherine’s diverse career spans decades, taking her from investment banking on Wall Street, to non-profit and education, to management consulting in Silicon Valley. In that time, she discovered a true passion for finance and business strategy. She has also explored entrepreneurship and found joy in helping companies to solve their most challenging and complex problems.

Katherine holds an MBA from The Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and a BS in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

She’s also a mom to three teenage girls, whose individual stories have inspired her to create better opportunities for all students.

Her current role, as Founder of the gap year project, unites her past experience and future goals, bringing change to the field of higher education and making gap years and a college education more accessible and impactful for all.

Jennifer brings years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, and operations to the gap year project. She’s also a successful engineer and an entrepreneur with a flair for design and aesthetics.

Jennifer earned an MBA from The Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and a BS in Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

As a mom to four children - including a set of triplets - she’s always looking for new ways to support her kids’ education while fostering life skills and independence.

Jennifer is truly passionate about social change while making a difference in the world, and she joins us to support our mission of bringing much-needed change to the field of higher education.
